KINEMATICS
The suspension kinematics, designed by Cascades Components, are in a class of their own. Our bike offers the perfect combination of suppleness and support to ensure everyone from the most discerning rider to the weekend warrior are obtaining maximum performance out of all of the floating points in this tried and tested dual link suspension platform.
Plus don't forget to read about the flexibility to adjust your amount of rear travel. We just didnt want to force you to only ride your bike one way. What if you move to a new area with new terrain or what if you simply want to set your bike up appropriately for the kind of terrain you are riding any given sunday? We worked hard to make sure that is an option, so please use it!
MESS WITH YOUR AMOUNT OF SQUISH
Crestline worked with Cascade Components on the kinematics on this bike. What has been achieved is the ability to adjust your rear travel from 150mm all the way up to 180mm on this RS180 The two main settings and shock information are as follows:
- 230mm x 57.5mm flip chip in ST (short travel) = 151mm travel
- 230mm x 65mm flip chip in LT (long travel) = 182mm travel
We'll give you one more too think about but there are other many other options you can play with since a 230mm eye to eye shock is available in 57.5 / 60 / 62.5 and 65mm stroke lengths. Here's the way one of the founders likes to run his bike:
- 230mm x 65mm flip chip in ST = 163mm rear travel
STRAIGHT 56MM HEAD TUBE
By using a straight head tube we preserve a fair bit of cockpit optionality. Setup for a ZS56-ZS56 press-in headset brings with it the ability for you to run a variety of reach adjust and angle adjust headsets.
Ad +/-5mm with a single crown fork from stock or up to +/-10mm with a DH fork.
This batch or RS 180 e-bikes all ship with a reach adjust head set pre installed allowing you to reap all the benefits of having a straight head tube design. You can also run aftermarket anglesets to adjust HT angles since this head tube does not discriminate against the lowest and slackest setups if that is what your heart desires.
SRAM'S UDH (UNIVERSAL DERAILEUR HANGER)
All of Crestline's bikes use a 148 x 12 rear end and a Sram UDH. This means Sram T-type transmission can be used on all our bikes. You can also swap wheels between bikes easily and also minimize any downtime cause by those pesky things that happen when you ride these bikes the way they are designed to be ridden. Bring on the rocks strikes and wheel pingers. If you need to replace a hanger or throw on a wheel from another bike to keep rolling you'll be back out in no time.
CARRY ALL THE ESSENTIALS
We made sure we had space in the frame to add water bottle mounts as well as mounts for tool storage. This way you can make sure you always have what you need with you and you'll never be left out to dry!
NO COMPROMISE, ONE PIECE, 27.5 AND 29 REAR TRIANGLES
Balance is everything and you deserve the correct wheel size combination for your size setup. You also deserve the right to choose what you want to run. Our bikes are spec'd as we recommend them to be ridden but we wont force you to keep them that way. After market rear triangles are available upon request. We're just an email away! 27.5 and 29 RT's are interchangeable and will fit any size bike. *It is however important to note that if you wish to change rear wheel size from your initial configuration, you will need to be sure to purchase the appropriate swingarm to do so.
