TRICKSTUFF disc brake Direttissima | Kit black

In alpinism, the sonorous name Direttissima stands for the direct fall line from the mountain peak to the ground. While mountaineers use the term for the shortest route with the greatest difficulties on the way to the summit, Trickstuff's Direttissima brake on the bike is ideal for the opposite route. The elaborate CNC-milled brake from the Black Forest made of 7075 T6 aircraft aluminum is not only an absolute highlight in terms of appearance, but also in terms of braking power and stability beyond any doubt.

While the 4-piston brake caliper was taken over from the legendary The Cleg with slight revisions, the lever has been completely redesigned. With a larger expansion tank and the new design, braking power and stability have increased again compared to the Cleg. In order to be able to transfer the higher braking force in a dosed manner, the brake levers have 4 ball bearings and Teflon seals, which makes operation extremely easy. The brake lines have also been adapted to the higher braking power. The Direttissima is equipped with pressure-resistant Kevlar lines and Goodridge connections, which are also particularly light at 17 grams per meter of line length. In addition, the hollow-milled brake pistons and cut-outs on the brake levers also weigh down. In addition to the saddle, the brake lever has also been revised and is now available with a tool-free lever width adjustment. At the same time, the weight was reduced to a light 219g (front wheel without disc) through various optimizations.

NOTE: You can find suitable brake discs and adapters for attachment in our shop.

These guys are the BEST for bike maintenance... they really take the time to check everything, explain it to me before doing anything and letting me know what will be coming up. Such a relief as I'm not well versed in the bike maintenance world... so great to feel like it's being taken care of. Highly recommend.

Great job on a recent tune up, honest advice on parts and they charge a fair price for work performed. The techs working on your bike take pride in their work and treat them as if its their own. Will be back for all services and new bikes purchases in the future.
